school pupils
Maji Safi Projects was started by Linda Greenland and Mike Radford following a Kenyan holiday in 1999 Since then a small dedicated committee has worked tirelessly to provide schooling facilities, teachers and support for families and their children in two villages in Kenya. The charity, which became a registered charity in 2004, has been helped in many ways. These range from individual sponsors of children, direct help from organisations local to Bristol, fund raising events, and visits to the schools which provide 'hands on' help with the building of the schools and interaction with the children. This website serves to explain what has been achieved and how you might yourself become involved, should you wish to do so. The project name, 'maji safi' means 'clean water' in Swahili. We hope that you will join us!
